Jeannine D. Willms: New Comp Cards

My first blog!

This is exciting. Ok, right off the bat, who am I to give out this info? Well, I'm just like many of you out there who has done it the wrong way for so long until you were either told or figured out how to do it the right way. I may not be CURRENTLY successful in this field but I have done quite a bit of stuff and have had my fill of bad experiences that perhaps from reading my blog, you won't have to go through.. as many. I feel that I may help in some ways, but you really have to have some bad experiences, or let down's to really learn and grow. Especially really know if this is the right path for you. So enjoy and please let me know what you think!

So, currently I need new composite cards. I have already given a deposit down, but as I am low on funds, I need to hold off a little before actually booking so I can come up with the rest of the money. I plan on April to actually do the shoot and to get the comp cards printed. Meanwhile, the last actual ny acting gig that I did was about 6 months ago. I'm in a little of a dry spell it seems. I got an audition for a shoe show in June.

The actual audition is in the beginning of April. They liked me enough to submit my photos which in turn got me the audition. The only problem I see is that they are asking for Runway/Shoe experience. Usually when I see the word Runway it tells me that I have to be at least 5'7". I am a mere 5'3"...ish. The agency does know this so that is not a concern. The concern is that I have never been in a shoe show nor walked in a runway. I figure how am I going to learn if I don't do it. Hey, I've watched enough America's Next Top Model to at least fake it (haha). So I gave in my availability and hope to fake my runway skills and impress them with what I do have to get into the show. I'll keep ya posted...
